Starbucks Cold brew Soy Milk Iced Coffee: why this is the perfect drink for driving

This is one of the easiest recipes on my blog but not any less delicious, I make this recipe more often than not when I’m craving something nice cold and sweet or for those afternoons pick me ups when they are so necessary to survive the rest of the day. The fact that this recipe requires the already made Starbucks cold brew coffee makes it extra convenient and quick to prepare I’m not kidding when I say it takes less than two minutes to prepare!

Why this is the best drink when driving:

I personally think that this recipe is the missing piece when driving because although it is nice to go to the Starbucks drive thru from time to time it is also budget friendly to do your iced coffee at home exactly the way you like it with the perfect coffee/ milk ratio and just the right amount on ice where it keeps it cold but it dosen’t water down your drink (can you tell I’m very particular with my coffee drinks lol) and the cherry on the top is putting your perfect little drink on your favorite tumbler so you can plate it on your car.

Also I forgot to mention extra points if you have your nails done either natural, at home or at the salon along with adding your favorite rings and bracelets. Something about driving and seeing my hands looking all pretty on the driving wheel while taking a sip a the here and there when the light are red makes me feel like my life is so sophisticated and put together in that moment even tough I have laundry and dirty dishes waiting for me at home lol.

Perks of learning this recipe:

  • Very convenient one of the quickest recipes to prepare

  • Only requires 3-4 ingredients

  • perfect refresher for those hot months but you still want that caffeine kick

  • Budget friendly

First of all what kind of cold brew coffee do I use? There are a few options out there but in order to keep it healthy go for the sugar free one medium roast so it dosen’t become to strong unless your taste goes for the darker one then by all means go for it! So now having made that quick specification lets talk about ingredients

Ingredients:

  • Starbucks Cold Brew Coffee (unsweetened) you will need 200 ml of this drink but feel free to add more if at the end of the taste test you like yours a little bit stronger, I just find this coffee/milk ratio to be the perfect balance for me after several tries of experimenting with this recipe.

  • Soy milk (unsweetened) half a cup or 120 ml will give you the perfect milky taste that your are looking for, if you find it with vanilla flavor extra points!

  • Sugar free Vanilla Syrup (optional) I use only 10 ml for this drink and it gives it that nice vanilla notes that go in perfect harmony with the coffee and oat milk

  • Splenda I unlike other sweeteners I use specifically this one for this recipe since I’ve noticed that it dissolves well with cold drinks

Instructions:

  1. Pour the cold brew coffee to your glass along with the oat milk

  2. Make a quick taste test to see if you require more coffee or milk dont be shy to experiment to find your own perfect ratio to your liking.

  3. Add the vanilla syrup

  4. finally add Splenda to your liking
