White Chocolate Mocha Recipe (no-sugar-added)

Hello lovelies,

So the first week of December has flown by and with that all the anticipation for the big day starts to set in. Needless to mention that as the month progresses it becomes increasingly important the need to make a little pocket of time for ourselves, to just sit and enjoy without all the beautiful hassle but hassle nevertheless.

This recipe it’s perfect for those moments to sit on your favorite spot in front of your Christmas tree and just contemplate and appreciate this quiet cozy moment to yourself. Between this delicious mocha with white chocolate notes it will be a natural consequence to loose yourself on your favorite Christmas memories.

I have a natural inclination for simplicity and this recipe it’s no exception. So let’s get right to the ingredients!

1. Instant espresso 2 gr: This will be our base for our drink which we will transform into the perfect festive cup. If you think an espresso either instant or not can be a little to strong for you, you can always substitute with strong coffee or if it’s a night drink you are welcome to use decaf as well. The trick here is to make the coffee base a little stronger than usual so it hold the rest of the ingredients while still holding that coffee taste.

2. Unsweet Soy milk 240ml: this specific plant milk has a nice texture to it and it blends well with the rest of the ingredients. Again you are welcome your plant based milk you prefer.

3. Sugar-free white chocolate syrup 30ml: and this will be our secret ingredient for this particular mocha recipe. The star of the show that will dominate with its wonderful sweet aromatic notes

4. No sugar added Lily’s white chocolate baking chips 7 gr: To say that these taste delicious is an understatement. I even have a few chips as a little pick me up now and then. If you are really interested in keeping a closer eye on your sugar intake you can skip this ingredient. But if you want to be a little more indulgent and don’t mind a stronger white chocolate taste this will take it to the next level.

Instructions:

  1. Warm your milk in a small sauce pan until a small steam shows and turn off the heat immediately.

  2. Slowly add the white chocolate chips and carefully stir them until you can no longer “feel” them at the bottom of the sauce pan indicating that they have successfully melted.

  3. Next add your instant espresso and again slowly stir the moisture until completely dissolved

  4. Lastly we intentionally left the white chocolate syrup at the end as to carefully add little by little and tasting along the way to our liking. I found the perfect balance at 30ml, but feel free to customize it to your own personal liking.

Wait for it to cool enough to serve in your favorite festive mug. not necessary but highly recommend is to froth your drink, this will add that wonderful fluffy texture to it and to close the experience full circle have a comfortable seat in front of your Christmas tree or fireplace while you savor every sip.

I hope you find this much needed quiet moments for yourself in these upcoming holidays and that this drink elevates your self care pocket of time.

Until the next brew,
