Sugar free gingerbread latte
Hello beauties! Today we will be making an almost Christmas recipe that I couldn’t resist sharing with you because it’s one of the easiest recipes to make but just so deliciously indulgent. This gingerbread latte will definitely hit that craving of delicious cookie and latte at the same time. The perfect drink to enjoy while you look at your beautiful decorated Christmas tree.
So what are some of the advantages of making this latte recipe?
You can control the exact amount of gingerbread flavor for your latte. There are so many talented little cafes out there that make the best delicious gingerbread lattes however by personal experience I’ve found that some of them go easy on the gingerbread and others go heavier, so this is the best opportunity to find your perfect gingerbread ratio :)
While making this a sugar free latte you can also find which is the best sweetener for your taste, if you fancy maple syrup theirs is the Lakanto sugar free maple flavored syrup that you can use. For my personal taste though the “brown sugar” alternative is the best for this recipe.
This is so easy to make that you can definitely make this for your friends and family in a quick few minutes so you can all enjoy together this cookie flavored latte :)
So let’s get started with our ingredients!
INGREDIENTS:
One cup of oat milk 240 ml: I think oat milk compliments the ground ginger very well, another personal favorite is the soy milk but fell free to use your preferred planet based milk :)
Ground ginger 1/16 tsp or 4 pinches: as you can see we will use a minuscule amount of ground ginger since it’s very powerful a little goes a long way. You can easily get this at your local grocery store, no specific brand needed just as make sure is in a fine powder presentation
Vanilla paste 1/2 tsp: you are welcomed to use vanilla flavor but I highly recommend the vanilla paste instead the vanilla notes n your latte will be very well worth it.
Zero calorie sweetener brown blend 15gr: while the original gingerbread recipes call for molasses we will get creative and do something similar with our zero calorie brown sweetener, as I mentioned before you can also use sugar free maple flavored syrup as well!
Nescafé French Roast instant coffee 1 tbsp: For this gingerbread latte after experimenting with a few instant coffees and even my beloved Nespresso Golden. I found that the perfect for was the French roast. It just make my taste buds happy, it tasted like Christmas in a cup
Now that we have covered our simple ingredients, let’s proceed with our even simpler steps:
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place your cup of oat milk in a sauce pan or if you like to use small doll like kitchen gadgets like me I use my mini cocotte on low heat to warm my milk it is fun to use (this makes my inner kid happy) just make sure use your heat gloves to prevent any accidents.
When you notice a little steam coming up just before reaching a low simmer turn the heat off and mix your ground ginger, vanilla paste, sweetener and instant coffee into your milk and slowly stir it all together
After combining all the ingredients wait for it to cool enough to serve and consume don’t forget to use your gloves and your later is ready! You’re going to love it :)
I hope you enjoy this simple yet delicious and healthy latte recipe as much as I did have a great time with friend and family and happy thanks giving!!
Kindly,
Tayde
